Today Paul van Essen enlightens us on the aim of our kingdom purpose. It is not to grow a big church or to get people to come to church but to connect people with Jesus, so they can experience His indescribable love and His overwhelming power personally.

Most people would consider Jesus to be the 'Light of the World' but He said we are. He has told us to be 'salt and light' and to bring colour and flavour to this world by carrying and being aware of His presence in everything we do.

God has made us for a purpose, but to walk it out we need a relationship witht he Holy Spirit. Today we have invited people from our church family to share about the way He has supernaturally moved in their lives, and how seemingly simple things can change the direction of their lives.

Everyone is gifted by God for a unique purpose, and as Christians we should be aware of our different giftings and the best way to use them to glorify God. In this message we hear from different team members about their experiences and gifts and how we can receive these gifts by impartation.

Drawing from the teachings of Jesus and His practical application of faith, Paul van Essen demonstrates the relationship between our level of faith and our level of receiving. He shows that there are principles of faith and a spirit of faith and how both are vital.

Last week we looked at the importance of prayer in birthing an awakening of God. This week Paul van Essen gives his attention to the secrets of 'God's Generals'; from Wigglesworth to John G Lake, and the Apostle Paul to Yonggi Cho and finds that their secret is prayer and their relationship with the Holy Spirit. Without this relationship, they could do nothing. And neither could Jesus.

Here at Greater Life Church we earnestly desire to have an awakening in Staines and the local area. We are committed to seeing people coming to know Jesus and we want to see God's will being done. But this doesn't happen overnight. It takes time to see this this birthed, and the labour is prayer.
